A cask strength bourbon, this is the flagship bourbon from the Johnny Drum range of handmade bourbons, produced in small batches. (Previously a 15 year old.)
As an introduction to bourbon I'm impressed (though I suspect I've been spoilt). Rich with caramel, not too much spice - quite sweet actually with vanilla in there too. The finish is short and smooth with no burn. Got a few others to try - hopefully they're all as good...
