J.G. Thomson 23 Year Old Blended Malt
This right here is a blended malt Scotch whisky from J.G. Thomson, made exclusively with Speyside malts which were aged for at least 23 years. Whiskies from bourbon, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximénez casks feature within this expression, making for a rich, complex flavour profile. Excellent stuff, perfect as an after-dinner dram.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Redcurrant and raspberry, with layers of honey and molasses, plus cigar box earthiness.
Palate
Decadent dried fruit and robust malt, with sparks of cinnamon and ginger appearing later on.
Finish
Cooked apple, floral breeze, and caramel.
