J&B Rare has long been a go-to for whisky fans across the globe, particularly in Europe.
Following the end of Prohibition in the USA, J&B Rare was created by Justerini & Brooks to appeal to the American palate, hitting shelves in 1933. The blend itself is made with a combination of 42 Scotch single malts and grains, with a generous portion of Speyside whisky at the expression's core.
J&B Rare is perfect for those who enjoy a classic whisky taste with a modern twist. This smooth Scotch is great on the rocks or neat, and it's also versatile enough to be used in cocktails.
J&B Rare whisky is an affordable option that delivers on taste and quality, so it's no wonder that it's one of the most popular Scotches on the market. If you're looking for a go-to whisky that won't break the bank, J&B Rare is a great choice.
A medium-bodied nose with hints of walnut, toffee apples, cedar wood, orange zest and malt.
Balanced and rounded nose - lots of fruit here, with a little toffee and malt.
Medium finish with oak and cinnamon.

I like it.
I bought my first bottle of this stuff around November. I was very surprised at how good it was. It tasted exactly like I'd imagine a quality blended scotch should taste. Better even. That perfect sweet with peat easy to drink blend...BUT the bottle i bought last week unfortunately doesn't taste like the same thing. I've found so many of the cheaper blends are inconsistent which i guess is to be expected because it's going to mixed but it's unfortunate for people who notice. It tastes the way a pencil erasor smells, and is completely missing the character of my earlier bottle. I believe sulphor is to blame for that particular foul taste. I wish i still had some to compare the two side by side. Anyways if you're wondering why this beloved blend tates like crap, the casks are not hand picked like maccalan and there's bound to be some duds with such mass production.
Quite a pleasant blended scotch, for me it's one small ice cube and about 15% filtered water, like the nose and flavor, just lightly chilled after tiny ice bit melts. My daily scotch. Otherwise it's Lagavulin 16 or JWB straight up, little goes a long way, I rate these two my favored, followed closely behind by J&B.
If you enjoy good Whiskey, do not under any circumstance purchase this product, it is the worst tasting swill there is, trust me I made the mistake of buying a bottle of this, word from the wise.
Blend muy Cítrico pero balanceado, hay que saberlo tomar, dejando reposar un poco por que tiende a ser fuerte, por eso es muy bueno para las mezclas.
