Invergordon 53yo #13329

Very well-matured single grain Scotch whisky here from the Invergordon Distillery, which was matured in a cask for 53 years! It was distilled back in May 1966 and slept peacefully in a refill barrel until May 2019, when it was bottled with a tiny outturn of just 121 bottles by Douglas Laing as part of the Xtra Old Particular range.

Tasting Note by The Producer

Nose The nose shows milk chocolate, a creamy vanilla quality and a slightly waxy note.

Palate The palate is distinctively mocha'd in style developing to buttered gingerbread and spiced oak.

Finish The elegant finish brings pastry, marinated fruit and toasted cereals.

I've been really good, can I have
