Incredibly old Invergordon, bottled by Douglas Laing for the Xtra Old Particular range. This single grain Scotch whisky was distilled all the way back in October 1965 and left to mature in a refill barrel for 52 years, before being bottled in June 2018. Only 131 bottles were produced, so if you love properly old grain whisky, grab one while you can!
Tasting Note by The Producer
The nose is wonderfully full and fresh still - full of a rich bourbon-like sweetness. The palate hits the sweet spot with vanilla essence, candy floss and sugared cereal, while the finish shows fruity toffee ahead of the gentlest spice.
