Description

Whisky aged for over 50 years is a rare and welcome sight - hence why Douglas Laing must be very proud of this Xtra Old Particular bottling of 51 year old Invergordon single grain Scotch whisky! It was distilled back in May 1966 and left to age in a refill hogshead for 51 years, before being bottled in June 2017 with a very small outturn of just 161 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Coffee bean, dusty oak and a lifting note of juicy raspberry.

Palate

Honey, pear and kumquat. A bit whack of vanilla, followed by a hint of pipe tobacco.

Finish

Lasts ages on the finish. Cookie dough, old oak and a touch of camphor.
