50 year old Invergordon, bottled by Douglas Laing! This was distilled in March 1966 and aged in a refill hogshead cask for half of a century (which sounds mighty impressive, doesn't it?) before being bottled in June 2016 at 49.7% ABV. 261 bottles were produced.
Dusty oak, baked apple, orange oil and a hint of cane sugar.
Toffee apple, more thick orange notes, a little bit of cinnamon and cassia.
A mixture of spicy clove and sweet vanilla make for a very balanced finish.
