Purchased in London 2019 and drunk in Brisbane at the Edinglassie Whisky Club. 7 Oct 2020 Appearance: A beautiful amber colour. Nose: Classic grain nose. Delicate and complex. Sweet vanilla and cherry wood. After 30 minutes a hint of cinnamon, coffee and Christmas cake. Palate: Initially light with floral notes, but smoother as it developed. After an hour, caramel, toffee and candied fruit had appeared. Superb balance. Magnificent! Finish: Initially short, but much longer as it opened up with a warm and gentle sweetness of vanilla and toasted marshmallow. One person “...could drink it all day or watching a long sunset.”
