Inchgower 23 Year Old 1998 (cask 18473) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing)

Inchgower 23yo 1998 Bottling Note

Superb single malt from Inchgower, matured for 23 years in a single cask between 1998 and 2021. Fortune would have it that the cask found its way to the folks at indie bottler Hunter Laing, who opened it up to release a total of 144 bottles for its Old Malt Cast series.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Sugary barley and sweet stone fruits tangle with nutty oak and old leather. Hints of earthen herbs poke through.

Palate: Vanilla cream with fresh honeyed fruit leads to a rich depth of oily malt and oaken spice.

Finish: Those leathery notes return. Golden syrup, floral barley, and a fleck of charred spice linger.
