Inchgower 18 Year Old 1998 (cask 12102) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
Yummy, Speyside whisky from Inchgower that was distilled back in November 1998 and set aside to mature in a refill Sherry butt for 18 years, until September 2017. That's when, in their infinite wisdom, Douglas Laing bottled this single cask, non-chill filtered single malt Scotch for the stunning Old Particular range, with an outturn of 363 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Toasted bread with a layer of honey, with blackberry and juicy honeydew melon rising through dry earth.
Palate
Orange oil and ground Christmas spices, plenty of vanilla and sprinkles of cumin and crunchy brown sugar.
Finish
Thick barley sweetness, marmalade on rye bread and vegetal oak.
