A robust core of heather-y, earthy smoke arrive straight away, with peppercorn, mince pie and oily malt in tow.
Notes of dried citrus and toasted barley linger, but the finish doesn't drag on too long (get it?).

Very different. Instant sweetness, followed by smokiness swelling in. But all over a bit quickly for me. Nice alternative to more rounded, longer, fiery malts - wouldn't get through much of the bottle in one sitting though.
