An indie bottling of Highland Park single malt, distilled on Orkney in September 1996 and matured in a refill hogshead for 21 years. In November 2017, the whisky was bottled by Douglas Laing as part of their Xtra Old Particular range, with a very small outturn - only 95 bottles were produced!
Opens with hints of blackcurrantwith salted caramel and wood shavings. The maritime palate has sweet peat and a gentle spice, and the medium-long finish shows toasted barley with a citric twist.
