The entry level bottling from Scotland's most northerly distillery, Highland Park, aged for 12 years. This is an older design, before the Highland Park range underwent a rebrand in 2017, and another in 2024. A fab find for a retro collection.
These bottles were part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Not quite the 18yr, but a much greater value!
I am a big fan of peated whiskeys and I tried it after a recommendation, liked it but not crazy about it, like Talisker Or Lagavulin.. Smooth, almost light whiskey I enjoyed it but it lucks a bit of complexity in the mouth ..
Having tried many different scotches within the last few months, this scotch definitely seems to encompass many flavors that others "corner." This has such a sweet floral arrival that transitions quickly into a very slight peat and smokey sweet finish with a hint of pepper. I certainly do love its complexity for the price..honestly for my palate I cannot think of a price for performance that can beat it.
The best by a mile. So smooth, so balanced, not overpowering or medicinal like an islay. A bottle that will quickly disappear when you start drinking!!
I was not a whisky drinker and experience was limited to cheap nasty blends so it was with some reluctance that I first tasted Highland Park. We were staying in the Sands Hotel with colleagues and I couldn't believe that I had missed such pleasure as drinking Highland Park for the first 40 years of my life.
