Distilled at Highland Park on the 27th June 1986, this was aged for 25 years in a single hogshead (cask 2279) before bottling on the 22nd October 2011. A release of 240 numbered bottles from Signatory's wonderful Cask Strength Collection.
Slightly medicinal, and quite dry. Heathery, burning cardboard, some malt, honey, a little Demerara sugar too.
Lemon and other citrus fruits, particularly the zest thereof. A good malty core, some salinity, heather honey and a hint of soft smoke.
Gentle peat and sweetness.
