This was distilled at Highland Park on the 27th June 1986, before ageing for 24 years in a single hogshead. Bottled by Signatory on the 17th January 2011. A release of 216 bottles.
Nose: Rich and meaty. This has a lot going on, including smoked ham, heather honey, cut herbs, a hint of sherry, some plum wine, and thick malt.
Palate: Big and fruity, it offers up a salty/smoky barrage of malt and fresh fruit, with citrus peels and a selection of liqueurs.
Finish: Quite long, with orange peel, smoke and salted butter.
