Harmony - a rather apt word to describe this well-balanced Japanese blended whisky from the Hibiki range. Hibiki Japanese Harmony is made with malt whiskies from the Yamazaki and Hakushu distilleries, as well as grain whisky from the Chita distillery. The whiskies are drawn from five different types of cask, including American white oak casks, sherry casks and Mizunara oak casks. An elegant expression, with wafts of honey, orange, a herbaceous touch or two, and light oak.
Red berries, green apple and layers of rich honey.
Melted butter and caramelised dates. A hint of fragrant sandalwood develops into warming, oaky spice.
Brown sugar, citrus peels, white grape, and black pepper.

It’s wonderful. Hard to find in the USA
Lots of honey and apples on the nose opens up into a very smooth taste and a fair length finish. Great intro to Japanese whiskeys.
i love hibiki whiskey
This is an update as I wrote the previous review four days ago. I dare to day the Harmony has grown a bit ornery since opening. I purchased an older bottle, the box features smaller Japanese print and a purple bottom as opposed to the newer purple top and mostly white box. It has become a bit more aggressive on the burn front. I want to say less enjoyable as to when i first opened it (as I could've drank half the bottle it was so smooth and inviting) but I tend to enjoy my whisky neat. Now, with a cube of ice, it has retained it's agreement with my taste at least. The mix of some new air has altered the taste but I have found a way to enjoy it nonetheless
Been on the Japanese whisky kick for the past few months. This blend lives up to its name; harmonious smells, flavors and finish. Very drinkable and pleasing overall. Doesn't topple Nikka Yoichi single malt as my favorite but there is no disappointment here. Good stuff.
