The 48 10 Year Old (Cask 23) - Heroes & Heretics
This right here is 10 year old blended malt from the Heroes & Heretics folks, featuring an '80s inspired label. This expression is a blend that has spent 10 years in a sherry butt, imparting a good helping of dried fruit sweetness into the mix. A release of 880 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeycomb and sultana, followed by fresh barley and a touch of charred oak.
Palate
Sponge cake, peanut butter, grilled apricot and chocolate ice-cream.
Finish
A lingering hint of toasted spices.
