This single cask single malt comes from Hellyers Road Distillery in Tasmania and was bottled by La Maison de Whisky in 2022. It was distilled from peated malt in 2016. It spent five years in an ex-bourbon barrel before bottling at cask strength.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Pungent wood smoke and medicinal notes with orchard fruit, vanilla, and toffee.
Palate
Big spicy and peppery with cloves, cinnamon and black pepper, wafts of bonfire with spiced apples and toffee.
Finish
Sweet and smoky.
