Single Malt

Australian single malt here from Hellyers Road, bottled for La Maison du Whisky as part of their Cellar Books series. This is a "Slightly Peated" expression, matured for 12 years in 100 litre casks. Very, very cool indeed.
Big notes of fresh orchard fruits arrive first, shortly followed by just a whisper of earthy smoke.
Cedar spices right at the fore, with yellow plum and apricot giving it some sweetness.
A hint of white wine sharpness, mellowed by rich vanilla and toasty peat.

Tried it out on Vilnius whisky festival yesterday. My #1. On nose very fruity, strong feeling of passion fruit not overwhelming by smokiness. Taste pleasant and solid. It was not a long dram so cannot comment more details, but I liked it and want to have a bottle to sit and not hurry up with it.
