This 12 year old whiskey from Haran in Spain has been given a finishing period in sherry casks, imparting hints of dried fruit and festive spice to the malty flavour profile. Considering that sherry also comes from Spain, this is rather neat expression indeed!
Nose: Almonds, cherries, nutty barley, vanilla pod.
Palate: Cinnamon, sultanas, a hint of black pepper and cedar.
Finish: White chocolate, more dried fruit, and pencil shavings.
