Hankey Bannister

A blended whisky named for Mr Hankey and Mr Bannister who created the brand. That's right, he was called Mr Hankey…
The nose is quite light, yet rather punchy. There are notes of winter spice and black pepper with a touch of caramel. The palate is quite fresh and crisp with medium-body. There are notes of buttery biscuit and toffee fudge with cereal sweetness and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is of good length with a fudge sweetness.

I prefer it to some more more expensive malts, good value for money, I buy it the litre size John COLNE
This is a very good, smooth, rather sweet blended whiskey. I can't think of another whiskey that's this inexpensive and good. If you like Johnnie Walker Black Label, you might enjoy this, it's half the price (although it's not smoky at all).
By far the best whiskey I've had in this price class. Astonishingly good! Just to bad it's not available in Sweden... Tomas
Reluctantly tasted it first during a Burn's Night, and I wasn't impressed until the Haggis blessed our plates. Truth is, the Great chieftain o the puddin' race allowed the humble spirit to rise above it's condition and speak better for itself! A rather decent dram to be considered equally by posh educated palates or any wanky Lannister.
Love this whiskey it's smooth tastes lovely
