When we first heard about the initial Haig Club being released with David Beckham we had a discussion at MoM Towers about what the price point would be. When it was eventually announced, however, it was quite a bit higher than the whiskies we'd previously assumed they'd be competing with. That's where Haig Club Clubman comes in, which will be the more "mainstream" variant.
The Clubman, a single grain Scotch whisky distilled at Cameronbridge and matured in ex-bourbon casks, is designed to be enjoyed with cola.
Inoffensive vanilla, nougat and caramel notes. With Beckham behind it, we can see plenty of vodka coke drinkers making the switch to Clubman and not looking back.

As a jack daniels drinker and not a "whiskey" drinker I brought a bottle of clubman to try on holiday and after initially not being to impressed put it to the back of the cupboard when I returned home, I've since given It another go and on the whole I really like it mixed with coke to the point where I actually seem to prefer it over JD, it may not be to everyone's taste but if you like a JD&coke it's a cheaper option.
It's 20 quid, what can you get for that? It's a warming, quite tasty young whisky on the whole. 7/10 enjoy. Just forget the Beckham ads
I'm basically hooked on island malts. These are fiery tempestuous beauties -what my doctor advises as 'something for the weekend.' Clubman, sans mixer, provides a detente for the taste-buds; a workaday leather armchair calling for pipe n'slippers rather than a surfboard.
Afraid I have to agree with the majority. Probably be ok to mix with coke, if that's what you like. It has an arrival of vanilla which quickly diminishes then your left with the burning in your stomach and no finish. I am no snob but I've drunk enough whiskies to know a good whisky when I taste one. For another £8 you could get yourself a nice Laphroaig 10 yo.
Not Scotch not vodka don’t know what they we’re thinking I’m a Scotch drinker so no go
