When we first heard about the initial Haig Club being released with David Beckham we had a discussion at MoM Towers about what the price point would be. When it was eventually announced, however, it was quite a bit higher than the whiskies we'd previously assumed they'd be competing with. That's where Haig Club Clubman comes in, which will be the more "mainstream" variant. The Clubman, a single grain Scotch whisky distilled at Cameronbridge and matured in ex-bourbon casks, is designed to be enjoyed with cola.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Inoffensive vanilla, nougat and caramel notes. With Beckham behind it, we can see plenty of vodka coke drinkers making the switch to Clubman and not looking back.

Not great.

If your not bothered about whisky then go for this. If you do prefer flavours and more texture then go elsewhere. I bought a bottle when it was on sale to see the hype. Not the best at all. Pretty flat tasting for me. Wont buy again

When the occasion calls for a whisky and mixer this is perfect. Its not a single malt dont judge as so. Perfect for what it does

You get what you pay for

Avoid if you enjoy a decent scotch. I am always open to new whiskeys, especially ones on offer, however this was seemingly a mistake. Sweet. Almost pic'n'mix style aftertaste in mouth. I haven't tried this with coke, perhaps that may hide the spirit...

Horrible, cheap and nasty

Oh dear — all fur and no knickers. Horrible, sweet and synthetic with a very thin taste of vanilla (like Galliano). So thin, the taste is drowned out by Coke. But strangely ... with a horrible salt and liquorice aftertaste. Avoid.
