Nomad Outland Whisky Bottling Note

Nomad Outland Whisky is a collaborative blended whisky from renowned master distiller Richard Paterson and expert Sherry producers Gonzalez Byass. It is made with a selection of over 30 malt and grain whiskies aged between 5 and 8 years old, which are blended together and matured in Sherry butts in Scotland for three years. Following that, the whisky is shipped off to Jerez, where it is finished in Pedro Ximénez casks for a year before it is bottled. Richard Paterson and Gonzalez Byass' master distiller Antonio Flores experimented with different Sherry casks, including Oloroso and Fino, but ultimately decided on the Pedro Ximénez casks for this enticing expression.

Reviews for Nomad Outland Whisky
Whoa. The Jeremy Lin of whiskeys. Like, where did this come from?!?
I was just looking around one of my favorite "toy stores" and noticed the unusual bottle and description. I was intrigued enough to quickly look at some ratings and decided to give Nomad a chance. Wow. A ~$35 NAS dram with this much flavor and sophistication? Amazing. Of course, being a blend of 5- to 8-year-old whiskeys that are then given another 4 years to age, it's not a total surprise. But the bottom line is that Nomad is now my new VFM leader cuz it compares very well with the $100 stuff.

Smooth and delicious
Purchased this for a whisky loving friend who really enjoyed it. They drink a broad spectrum of whisky styles but found the sherry cask touch of sweetness really inviting and moreish and would buy again

I should give this a really bad review - that way there will always be stock for me to buy!
I love this whisky, it's a bit like bottled rich fruit cake

Someone let me taste theirs and I immediately ordered it.

Yes it's a blend, and yes it's on the sweet side, so don't order it if you don't like sweeter whisky.

But boy is it nice! Smooth, rich, deep, flavourful and easy to drink

Sherry, but too sweet for my taste
Sherry, but too sweet for my taste, but a good standard blended whisky, for sure.

great value for money
This is a nice smooth warming christmas cake of a dram where he cook good distracted and kept pouring.. You could drink this all night.... i might just do that. A bit of Greek brandy in the flavour profile, PX sweetness and so much sherry its hard to compare.. Great value for money.

Can you call a whisky beautiful?
Smooth and sweet with a peasant warmth.
I'm not a whisky drinker, the closest I get I usually get is flavoured bourbon (which I have been repeatedly told by actual whisky drinkers does not count), but this I could drink like water.
Originally given to my father as a gift I thought I'd give it a try to see if it was as good at the giver said. I'm now replacing the bottle and buying one for myself.

Sherry for sure!
This is surprisingly good! A very nice bottle and presentation is met with a heavily influenced sherry nose and taste. It is somewhat sweeter than I anticipated, and very viscous, but actually this smacks of sherry, notes of honey and well chosen blended whiskies. Impressed. Most 'drammable' and a good price. I will be buying more!!
