You'd not be blamed for not knowing about Glenury Royal whisky, as the distillery was closed in 1985 and releases of their whisky are rather scarce. However, Gordon & MacPhail got their hands on a refill Sherry butt of Glenury Royal single malt and bottled it up, as part of their Rare Old range, hooray! This was distilled in 1984, just a year before the distillery was mothballed, and bottled in 2012 with an outturn of 430 bottles.
