Description
If a 29 Year Old single malt Scotch whisky from Glenturret Distillery that matured in a single hogshead cask doesn't get you excited, then nothing will. This prospect obviously delighted Signatory, because they bottled this natural colour, stately whisky for the Cask Strength Collection on 11th October 2017 at 50.8% ABV. 231 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honey and marmalade coat hazelnut and iced buns, before furniture wax, old leather and soft oak reveal.
Palate
Summer berry compote, honey and diced almonds run alongside spiced oak, before salted butter and a little stewed rhubarb appear. Herbal notes of coriander and peppermint gives beautiful complexity.
Finish
Long and delicate, touches of orange peel bitterness, milk chocolate and toasted almonds linger.
