Released by Hunter Laing in collaboration with the Glenturret distillery in the Highlands, this 1986 vintage single malt Scotch whisky has been strictly limited to 2400 bottles. Matured for 26 years in refill bourbon casks and bottled without colouring or chill-filtration, this is special team effort that the distillery and bottler should be very proud of.
Decadent toffee popcorn, milk chocolate and apple all appear at first, followed by soft hints of sandalwood.
Fragrant vanilla blended with caramel. Golden syrup drips in, rich and sugary.
Soft ginger spices shake up the finish very well.
Masses of flavour sit within this Glenturret, just waiting to blossom on the palate. Superb.
