Glentauchers 22 Year Old 1997 (cask 4155 & 4157) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
Part of the Cask Strength Collection, a 22 year old single malt from the Glentauchers distillery in Speyside! Distilled in July 1997, matured in bourbon barrels, then bottled in December 2019, there was an outturn of 380 bottles from this single cask release by Signatory.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Tropical fruit, spicy oak, sweet honey and creamy vanilla.
Palate
A relaxed combination of exotic fruits, sweet, juicy, and tropical at the forefront followed by sour grapefruit and gooseberry, ending with plenty of bourbon barrel oak and vanilla.
Finish
Fruit salad, balanced with under ripe citrus and pear acidity, a touch of pepper and lasting oak.
