From Glentauchers distillery in Speyside, distilled in 1997. It was drawn from a pair of bourbon barrels which aged the whisky for 21 years, and then bottled by Signatory for their Cask Strength Collection in 2018. This expression was bottled at a healthy 49.4% with an outturn of 359 bottles.
Buttered pancakes, slightly grassy, layers of caramel and mince pie filling.
The sweetness of banana and sugary cereals arrives first, followed by vegetal oak and diced Alpine herbs.
Lasting mint leaf, honeydew melon and treacle tart.
