Bourbon
A glorious single malt from Glentauchers, distilled in July 1997 and filled into a pair of bourbon barrels, where it remained for the next 21 years. Finally, in May 2019, the casks were opened up by indie bottler Signatory, releasing a total of 340 bottles for its Cask Strength Collection.
Silky honey and tropical notes of grilled, spiced banana with fragrant vanilla pod sweetness.
Heaps of fruit, with juicy melon and papaya followed by zesty notes of lime, a good dose of oaken vanilla, and buttery caramel throughout.
The balance of sweet fruit and tangy zest continues with lingering oak char.
