Sherry
A 10 year old bottling of Glentauchers single malt, drawn from a single Sherry butt which matured the whisky from March 2007 to May 2017. This was independently bottled by Douglas Laing for their Provenance range, producing 441 bottles.
Honey-drenched red apples and rum-soaked raisins. A good handful of baking spices thrown in for good measure.
Nutmeg, chocolate buttons and fresh pear. A hint of Honey-Nut Cornflakes.
Touches of smoke begin to appear on the finish, helping to boost the spiciness of the malt.
