This was distilled on the 5th March 1981 at the Glentauchers distillery, this was aged for 30 years in cask 1050 (a refill butt), before bottling on the 23rd September 2011. A release of 373 numbered bottles from Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.
Oaky and malty and rather old-fashioned. A lemon-rich nose with hints of minerality, salinity and rich fruit. Cut hay, a little spice and some almond.
Lemon juice, toffee, golden syrup and bitter oak. A little grapefruit zest too, alongside creamy malt.
Good length and bittersweet. Some spices and barley.
