Still a good scotch however, the taste is waterred down. Why they did that ? meh. I dont know. Glenfarclas 25 is a good alternative. Very sherry and powerful on the taste.

    Not my Sherried choise

Have to say, GlenMorangie is one of my favorites and always represented in my collection. When a free space bacme available on the shell, It would be taken by the LaSanta, an boy did I have expectations. I do also love sherried whiskys, you know. This, however, I never found much love for. Here's why: Nose: I found the initial nose quite sour. My bottle may have been out of an flawed batch (or my palate may be flawed), but it was that darn sort of sulphurous nose, that I don't like. The sweetnes people talk about, I did not sense. Sip: Now I'm sure, this one was flawed, 'cause I'd never expect Glenmo to issue sulphured alcohol on purpose unless the shipment was meant for a place reaaaaaally way down stairs. I ended up using this for a mixer. How sad that was. I would have loved to just like it. I'll stick with what BenRiach does with Sherry. Sorry, brave men of Tain.

    not unpleasantly surprised

I can enjoy this whisky for what it is and how it tastes. That aside, for me there is no discernible difference between this and a French brandy. It really is quite sweet . For me this is just not how whisky should taste. Otherwise worth a try and, seeing as I bought my bottle in China I saved some money in comparison to the UK retail price. Actually I am stunned by the "quality" of this one and have to say that I really like it. I last bought a bottle of Talisker 10 year old malt and there is a World of difference between them.

    Brilliant

huge admirer of the Balvenie 12 and this is right on par. I enjoy the frequent light single malt of a macallan or glenlivet, also the smoky laphroaig and ardbeg, this is just as tasty but on a similar level
