Glenlochy 35 Year Old 1980 (cask 3231) - Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve (Signatory)
Rare single malt Scotch whisky from the closed Glenlochy distillery, aged in a single hogshead cask for 35 years. It was distilled in November 1980, three years before the distillery was shut, and bottled in December 2015 by Signatory for the Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve. A very small release of 71 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate and strong coffee (almost a bit like a stout at points), slightly burnt toast with marmalade, eucalyptus.
Palate
Fresh citrus fruit, salted peanuts, honey'd malt and a little more coffee bean.
Finish
Heather honey, light coastal air, old furniture.
