A gorgeously dark, sherry-butt-matured Glenlivet, distilled in September 2001 and aged for 10 years before bottling in February 2012. A single cask release of just 387 bottles from the Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask range.
Nose: Sherried peels, cherries, chocolate, hints of sweet barley, black pepper and malt.
Palate: Sweet and creamy, notes of huge sherry, hints of Armagnac, prunes, plum wine, a little cinnamon and molasses.
Finish: Long and malty finish with sweet spices on the tail.
