Single cask Glengoyne single malt, independently bottled by Langside for the Hepburn's Choice range. It was distilled in 2008 and matured in a refill hogshead until 2016, when it was bottled at 8 years old, with an outturn of 372 bottles.
Honeyed cereal, flapjacks, anise, a hint of citrus.
Yellow plum, hazelnut cream, cinnamon and brown sugar.
Drying black pepper and vanilla-rich malt.
Lovely & smooth. Plenty of flavour to explore with a hint of something I can't quite put my finger on. Finish is warming and punchy whilst rolling & out smoothly. Clear, pale yellow. Nose: Light floral note, sweet honey, citrus & cereals. Palate: Light & sweet, citrus, hazelnut, warming barley, cinnamon, gently waxy, light cracked pepper into the finish. Finish: Cracked pepper rolls in & out on a smooth body.
