Glengoyne single malt here, independently bottled by Douglas Laing for its popular Old Particular range. This one was aged in a refill hogshead for 14 years, being placed into its cask back in August 2005. In September 2019, the cask was cracked open and the whisky was bottled with an outturn of 337 bottles.
Honey and candle wax, with plenty of barley in support.
A hint of damp oak as it opens, leading into apricot and honeydew melon.
Spicy peppercorn and a touch of lemonade.
