1545

This was distilled at Glenglassaugh on the 1st September 1979 before a 32 year maturation in a single cask (number 1545). It was bottled at natural cask strength and without additional colouring for Signatory’s impressive Cask Strength Collection.
Complex notes of peppermint and pine resin. Hints of citrus zest, lip balm, tangerine and creamy cereal sweetness.
Chamomile and hints of aniseed, creamy malt and spice. Hints of lime blossom and roasted peanut too.
Long, tangy finish with oak and sweetened lattes.

The bottle I bought from MoM was cask 1543.
This ranks right up there with the Bunnahabhain 25 as a favorite. Smooth, complex, long finish. Especially like the finish. Compared to similarly ranked scotches, this seems like a bargain.
