Glenglassaugh 3 Year Old 2009 - The Chosen Few

Glenglassaugh 3YO Bottling Note

This is a delicious, though very young, Glenglassaugh from the Chosen Few range, selected and signed by Ronnie Lawrence. It was distilled in September 2009 and was aged for a little over 3 years in a first-fill sherry hogshead before bottling at natural cask strength in early 2013. This is a release of just 348 numbered bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich and intensely spiced nose with all kinds of stewed fruit. Hints of burnt sugar, candied peels, Christmas Pudding and brandy butter.

Palate: Surprisingly rich and malty palate. Quite sweet and creamy with porridge oats, allspice and aniseed. Big sherry. Tannic and intense.

Finish: Medium-length, spicy finish.

Overall: Very interesting indeed.
