Glendullan 14 Year Old 1999 (cask 10124) - Old Malt Cask (Hunter Laing) Reviews

Get it while you can

Very light colour. Nose: treacle, golden syrup, liqurice, annaseed, strong alochol on nose but not on arrival. Light-medium peat, herbal... It like an Islay but lighter. Treacle again on the finish. Nose is creamer after time in glass and drop of water. Nice flavour, this is a pretty good one, very interesting, surprising considering what I've read about Glendullan. Salty now... Nicely seasoned and getting some hot chilly on the development and a spearmint finish, complex and balanced. Goes to show what a good cask can do for a whisky.
