GlenDronach 15 Year Old 1995 - Old Malt Cask (Douglas Laing)
This is a fifteen year old Glendronach and people who like their Glendronach will probably agree that fifteen years tends to be a very good age for Glendronach and this bottling from Douglas Laing is no exception.
The Old Malt Cask range began as a release of fifty bottlings in 1998 to commemorate Douglas Laing's fiftieth anniversary. Today they offer many, many more. All bottlings in the range are non-chill filtered and contain no naughty colouring.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Artisan milk chocolate becoming darker and richer as the drink progresses, then there are notes of coffee and mahogany.
Palate
Rich and mouthcoatingly oily. Dark melted chocolate and lighter notes of melon and candied orange peel.
Finish
Mochachino and orange marmalade hold the fort until the next sip.
Overall
Another chocolatey Glendronach... no complaints here.
