Glenburgie 21 Year Old 2000 (cask 18756) - The First Editions (Hunter Laing)
Distilled in 2000 at Glenburgie, this glorious Speyside single malt was allowed 21 years to mature in a single refill hogshead. By the time 2021 came around, the folks at Hunter Laing decided the whisky was ready to tell its story, so they bottled it up for The First Editions collection, keeping it at cask strength, non-chill filtered, with a total outturn of 244 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Crisp apples, berries, cherries, a touch grassy with sweet spice.
Palate
Buttered malt loaf, gently nutty with gingery warmth, orange peel, herbal, leathery oak.
Finish
Charred oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, dusty oak and creamy barley.
