Distilled in 2000 at Glenburgie, this glorious Speyside single malt was allowed 21 years to mature in a single refill hogshead. By the time 2021 came around, the folks at Hunter Laing decided the whisky was ready to tell its story, so they bottled it up for The First Editions collection, keeping it at cask strength, non-chill filtered, with a total outturn of 244 bottles.
Nose Crisp apples, berries, cherries, a touch grassy with sweet spice.
Palate Buttered malt loaf, gently nutty with gingery warmth, orange peel, herbal, leathery oak.
Finish Charred oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, dusty oak and creamy barley.
