Bourbon
A well-aged indie Speysider, this Glenburgie was distilled just before the turn of the century. Its next two decades were spent in a single bourbon barrel, after which Hunter Laing bottled it up at a burly 58.6% ABV. A limited 276 bottles were released for The First Editions series, full of chocolate and barrel char notes.
Subtle bonfire smoke, with peppery oak and melted brown sugar.
Oak char supports milk chocolate truffle and warming spices, with ripe apple appearing.
A sweet, spicy and smoky finish, with caramel and pepper.
