From GlenAllachie's first batch of single cask bottlings comes a 28 year old expression drawn from one hogshead which was laid down in November 1989. In October 2018, this cask was cracked open, producing only 121 bottles of cask strength Single malt Scotch whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Grilled pineapple and banana fritters, followed by soda bread with salted butter.
Palate
Pear drops, old rum, menthol, cedar and new leather.
Finish
Hints of white chocolate behind layers of aromatic oak and earthy vanilla.
