Independently bottled Glenallachie single malt here, matured in a single cask for 24 years! It was distilled in February 1992 and left to age in a refill hogshead until February 2016, when it was bottled by Hunter Laing for the Old Malt Cask range. 180 bottles were produced.
Big, robust malt, backed up by green bananas and red apples.
A big scoop of dried apricots atop vanilla ice cream. Custard-filled doughnuts.
Quite long, with a hint of zesty citrus continuing.

On the nose, a fruity explosion, fresh and clear. Take a sip, you're hit by salted caramel and biscuits, with a background of crème anglaise. Very smooth. Hint of banana peel. Finish goes on and on, getting more fruity as it develops.
