GlenAllachie 2014 (bottled 2021) - Wilson & Morgan
A splendid Speyside single malt, distilled at GlenAllachie in 2014 and matured in a first-fill oloroso sherry butt until 2021. Those years in the cask have helped to impart glorious layers of toasted nuts and dried fruit to the full-bodied malt, which was independently released by Wilson & Morgan.

Nose
Heavy sherry with doughy brioche, candied nuts, and bold layers of rich, punchy fruit.
Palate
Crushed almonds, toasted pecans, and oily walnut loaf lead to honeyed figs, dates, and prunes.
Finish
Meaty malt, drying sherried oak, poached pears, and leathery tang.
