A Signatory bottling of single malt from the Glenallachie distillery in the Speyside region, drawn from a pair of hogshead casks which were laid down in October 1996 and cracked open in March 2016, then bottled at 43% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cinnamon and clove, with marmalade on toast underneath. A little bit of meaty BBQ char.
Palate
Walnuts, almonds and honey-roasted peanuts. A little bit of chewy raisin.
Finish
The Christmas-y spice notes from the nose reappear on the finish.
