This well-sherried GlenAllachie was released as part of the distillery's single cask series. It was distilled in April 2004, and left to mature in a single Oloroso sherry puncheon. Once 15 years had passed, the whisky was bottled in August 2019 at cask strength, with an outturn of 354 bottles at a healthy 56.7% ABV.
Fried banana and lots of orange peel, with apple and cinnamon loaf and honeyed berries. Plantains, heather honey, orange zest and a hint of cinnamon.
Dark treacle, orange chocolate, dusty cocoa and lots of dried fruit, namely cherry.
Baking spices build on the finish, lingering alongside orange zest.
