Single Malt
A 12 year old single malt distilled by Glenallachie here, independently bottled up by Signatory as part of the fabulous Cask Strength Collection. This whisky was filled into a first-fill sherry butt back in May 2008, and left to age for a dozen years before the cask was cracked open in February 2021. A release of 676 bottles.
Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, peanut brittle, papaya, cinnamon biscuits.
Sultana and raisin notes take shape on the palate, along with a good whack of old sherry richness. Still got a nutty hint to it at its core.
Festive spices and rolled oats.
