Single Malt
Scotland
1 Mar 2005
1 Dec 2017
Single cask Glenallachie single malt, independently bottled by Douglas Laing as part of the Old Particular range. This was aged for 12 years in a sherry butt, from March 2005 to December 2017, before being bottled with an outturn of only 243 bottles.
Stewed plums with a handful of cinnamon sticks thrown in, a pinch of juniper.
Full-bodied notes of rich sherry and baking spices, with a touch of brown sugar and dried oak.
Subtly herbaceous, though still heavily sherried.
